Petals and Plumes

That's the name of my most recently released pattern on Ravelry.

Petals and plumes is a hat pattern sized from baby (suitable for a newborn) to an adult extra-large size (will fit heads up to about 60cm in circumference). It uses a miniscule amount of yarn with the child and baby sized ones using as little as 20-30g of yarn. It is knit on 3.75mm needles using fingering (4ply) weight yarn. perfect for all those little bits of yarn you have leftover from shawls and socks.

The crown of the hat has a flower motif. the number of petals will depend on the size you are knitting. the larger the hat, the more petals you will have.

The body of the hat is knit in stocking stitch with a lace edge around the bottom.

The design is simple and the lace repeats are easy to memorise. It can now be bought and downloaded here.

Absolutely pretty if it's worked up in pink!

Thanks, Emy! Look at the project page on Ravelry. The testers have made it up in all sorts of different colours. I am pretty sure tehre are at least one or two pink ones amongst them! :)
